Ask them if you can visit the facility to make sure the retirement home is comfortable, clean, and welcoming for your loved one. While you are there, you can ask them any questions that you have about the elderly care they provide. Find out how many nurses they have on staff, what types of medical equipment they are trained to use, and what personal freedom they are given to their lives. While it might be a difficult topic to discuss, you should also ask them about long-term hospice services to make your loved one as comfortable as possible when they have terminal illnesses.
